RTX 3060
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 550 watt power supply. I wanna add a RTX 3060 to my system but the graphics card has a 8 pin connector. My power supply only has a 6 + 2 pin connector. Can I use that and are there any risks? I checked on pc part picker and it seems to be compatible

@Mayank471,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You are totally fine: your RTX 3060 will be able to get all the power it needs with a 550-watt power supply.

The 6+2-pin PCIe power cable is the same as an 8-pin PCIe power cable.

You are good to go.

Hope this was helpful.
