I have a HP 870-224 and I am wondering whether my PC is compatible with the graphics card I am going to buy. The graphics card is a ASUS Dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GBThe PSU model is a PS-8501-2 and if compatible would I use the 6+2 pin connector to connect the GPU?

From the following information, your machine only has 500W PSU

And the RTX 3060 requires 600W to be able to run properly

In short: you need higher wattage rating PSU

In your machine you have gtx1080 which asked for max 180Watts. The RTX 3060 have a max consumption of 170 Watts. I would say that you will not have a restriction for the power.
