Hello, I have had an issue with updating my desktop for a few months now. I took it into a store recently and they got it to turn on after for beeping for months. Now I am unable to update my desktop to Windows 10, version 20H2? I am unsure how to go about this as I tried to update it regularly. I would greatly appreciate any help that someone would be willing to offer.

Hi @OhItsMint
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Did the PC repair folks tell you what they did to fix your PC's POST error beep codes at startup?
Do you have W10 20H2 installation media on a USB stick? W10 20H2 reached EOL in 2022.
The latest W10 version is 22H2 available at this Site.
Do you get W10 22H2 prompts via Windows Update but it fails? If so, what error codes are you getting when 22H2 fails to install?
You could try a W10 22H2 in place update using either the USB installation media or the .ISO. Open the W10 USB device in Win Explorer or double click the .ISO file to mount the image file while in Windows. Then select the Setup.exe file for either option to start the update.
Try each Windows update method while you are running the current Windows installation to see what happens.
Windows version updates will fail for some of the following reasons:
1. Corrupt system files.
2. Incompatible: drivers or hardware.
3. Failing hardware.
4. Incompatible peripherals connected to the PC.
5. I have never had the following problem but active A-V software might cause a problem.
Are you using any third party software such as O&O Shutup10 to tweak the operating system?
