Cannot update desktop Z9M78AV to latest version of bios ( I currently have AMI F.01, 10/6/2016)
The bios updates, the restart begins, the bios fails.
Any help from the community would be apreciated.

Hi compenthusiast
I am confused as you already have that BIOS build number installed on your PC.
There is no new update.
That file is the original BIOS HP installed on your PC at the factory.
The March 2017 date is not the build date of that BIOS file.
You have the latest and only BIOS file available from HP at this time.

That's the very one that fails. My current bios is for last year; this update is for March 2017.
Thanks very much for the prompt reply.

You are the second person telling me my bios is up to date. What confused me were the DATES.
I wrongly assumed the date was the build date.
Thanks very much for clearing this up.
