HP does not sell a 1000 watt power supply for this model, use a power supply from another manufacturer, you should check the cables very well, HP motherboards have very specific connectors and using a PSU from another brand can cause problems.

You can make the change, it has a 600 watt power supply, 550 watts are required for that card
