OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-1000i (6C1Q7AV)

Since recent Tel Support to re load Bios.

I continue to experience Blue Screen Recovery each daily Boot up.

Today I see my current Bios Date is earlier than what's avail.

Current F.25 14/8/2024

Latest vers

F.25 Rev.A

Aug 29, 2024

Is it advisable to Download and Update to Rev A

Hi @Donfor

Welcome back to the Forum.

Are you getting a Windows Recovery Environment blue screen or a HP BIOS Recovery blue screen?

Are you able to load Windows after resolving the blue screen error?

It looks like HP is using two different MBs in the GT21-1000i series PCs (GT-21-1000i can apply to many different HP PCs:

MB SSID 8A96

MB SSID 8A97

You need to match the specific HP MB SSID installed in your PC (specific product number) to the HP BIOS update MB SSID (specific product number). You can get your PC's specific product number and MB SSID using HP System Information.

It is best to update the BIOS using the specific HP BIOS update for your PC's specific product number and MB SSID.

I can't say if a BIOS update would help using the information you have provided. The blue screen you are seeing could be: a Windows problem, a hardware or hardware driver problem, or a BIOS firmware problem.

Thanks viewing example's Ide state it could be Windows rather than Bios Error. ref Powering up to Blue Screen with recovery options including Fkeys uefi options etc

Todays was 00048 Digital Sig Not Verified.

Product ID 8C6T8EA

BaseBoard Product 8A96

I have re started from Blue Screen almost daily 2/3 were successful.

I wouldn't think re installing win11 is required, pc is a few days since purchase.

thanks

Hi @Donfor

My pleasure.

I would return this PC for an: exchange or a refund if it is brand new (you purchased the PC a couple of days ago). A new PC should not be unstable.

Check your PC's hardware if your recent contact with HP Support did not have you do this.

Use HP Diagnostics to Check Hardware:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem. Run extensive tests.

It looks like a possible hardware problem if are seeing various blue screen error messages when you start the PC.

I would not try a BIOS update within the operating system if the PC is unstable.

Greetings @Donfor

A HP Cloud Recovery fixed the USB problem.

Thanks for the info.

I thought your PC had a hardware problem.

Thanks I'm allowing +2 days as cannot achieve Single Start up- Failed Digital Key/Verification.

Though does re start after 2-3 attempts.

I don't want this post to continue unnecessarily, I can revert to Return option if req.

This morning....
