Hi @Jordi1000,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your OMEN Desktop PC 25L is encountering a critical issue after a failed CMOS update, and clearing the CMOS hasn't helped. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Power off your PC and unplug it from the wall.
  • Hold down the power button for 15-30 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Plug the PC back in and try to power it on.

Clear the CMOS Again:

  • Power off the PC and unplug it.
  • Locate the CMOS battery (usually a round silver coin battery on the motherboard).
  • Remove the battery and wait for about 5-10 minutes before reinserting it.
  • Plug the PC back in and try to power it on.

Check for Error Codes or Beep Sounds:

  • When attempting to power on, listen for any beeping sounds or look for an error code on the motherboard or display. These could give clues about what might be wrong.

Use a Backup BIOS (if available):

  • Some OMEN desktops have a dual BIOS feature. If your model supports this, there may be an option to revert to the backup BIOS. Refer to your user manual or HP’s website for instructions on accessing and switching to a backup BIOS.

Reseat the RAM and Other Components:

  • Sometimes, hardware components can become loose or disconnected. Power off the PC, open the case, and reseat the RAM, GPU, and any other expansion cards. Make sure all cables are securely connected.

Restore BIOS Settings Manually:

  • If you can get into the BIOS (even in a minimal mode), try restoring default settings or loading the factory default configuration to clear any corrupted settings caused by the failed update.

Check for Faulty CMOS Battery:

  • If the CMOS battery is old or failing, it could be causing issues during the boot process. Try replacing the CMOS battery with a new one.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
