Hello
I would advise you to do what is indicated
Nothing says the problem will be fixed one way or another.
As you mention, if no return, Hp might not look for what brings this error, if users don't show up more than that!
If the computer works, more or less, hard to say that it will not get worse and worse!
Do not wait before it's too late !

Why are you asking OP to close this thread as resolved, if it's not resolved? Returning my work desktop to HP is not an acceptable solution to this, and it is not helpful for me, as an HP business customer.

This is a brand new issue in the past couple of weeks, and IMHO should remain open so others can find it and post their feedback.

Sorry if it's not clear, this is a signature it is very common in discussion forums.

look more closely, it is just reminded how we do it, not that we have to do it right away !

As to whether or not to flip the computer, this is just a tip!

if you do not want to do it, good to you, I do not oblige anyone, but as at this stage, no solution is possible here, it is not useful to much, to wait, especially, if at this moment, hp announces that it is better to do it!

Having said that, I am responding here, mainly, to the author of the subject!

Ok for everyone having the same issue:

I  just talked with HP support and they basically told me to return the PC if it bothers me.

They won't have someone look into these warnings who could actually fix them unless they impact the usage of the PC or if a lot of users return their PCs because of this. I guess I will have to live with these warnings or hope that WD-support is more helpful...

Hello

I am also experiencing exactly the same problem with thousands of WHEA logger Events on my HP Omen – GT13-1912nz bought about a month ago.

In the last week I have also had random reboots and BSOD with Clock_Watchdog_timeout errors

All drivers, BIOS, Firmware and software are up to date.

I will post if I find a solution.

Update Nov 16:

Unfortunately I am still getting those sudden reboots, random times. The fix below did not help.

Original post Nov 12:

I may have found a fix/workaround for the random reboots:

1) In device manager I disabled "Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter" - this reduced the frequency of the reboots to once every 2 days or so (I had 2-5 reboot each day prior to this). Just to clarify I haven't configured WiFi OR Bluetooth devices on this computer yet.

2) I switched the Wifi to Airplane mode (disabling both Bluetooth and Wifi) - That was 3.5 days ago and I did not have a single reboot since.

I'm not thrilled about not having Bluetooth or Wifi available but at least it's a short term solution until a better fix is available.

I'm also getting the warnings. I bought two OMEN 30L Desktop PC GT13-1000i that have WDC WD BLACK SDBPNTY-512G-1106 and both have constant WHEA-Logger warnings. The OS doesn’t seem to make a difference since one has Window 10 and the other has Windows 11. Tried the updates on the HP page but no luck.

I also got this error. This happens for ALL Omen 30L desktop (all of them are faulty). Normal users just doesn't know where to check the events log, so only power users like us report the errors. HP will need to fix this. It's a precursor for a class action lawsuit.

This also happens on my OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1365xt PC. Same WD Black SN750 having PCIe errors. We need a fix from HP for this.

So, I couldn't find an actual fix but I found a workaround which is disabling logging for that specific device giving the WHEA-Logger warning. The steps from the post are below. Haven't gotten the WHEA-Logger warning since disabling it on both Omen PCs. Now to find out why it won't stay in sleep mode...

yes you can...i'm gonna use the WLAN-AutoConfig event id 4001 warning

first, double click on the error/warning in event viewer and click on the details tab and write down the guid ({9580D7DD-0379-4658-9870-D5BE7D52D6DE})

now open up regedit and go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\Autologger\EventLog-System \ {9580d7dd-0379-4658-9870-d5be7d52d6de}]

on the right where the registry entries are, look for "Enabled" which will be set to one, change that to 0. reboot two times for the entry to take effect. this has worked for me for three errors/warnings that can be ignored
