Greetings @Gav245

I recommend running the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool available Here.

Also having a local PC Tech bench test the processor with known, good: MB, memory, GPU, and power supply would be a good idea.

A failing IPDT test result using your PC and a second test bench setup would put more weight in the glove.

I work as a computer repair technician, and I currently dont have the cpu connected as the issues were so bad I had to buy a new cpu and motherboard set. I have ran those tests before and talked to Intel about it

There is also no techs nearby and I dont need anyone to test it. I just need it swapped.

Greetings @Gav245

You are a PC Tech.

I would think providing the previous IPDT test results, if possible, to HP would be very helpful.

Or bite the bullet. Rerun the processor tests and submit the failing test results to HP for review.

It's your call.

Have a great day!

It could help, but I no longer have the stuff for it. Even if most those issues make it an appearent cpu or motherboard issue. I have done all the troubleshooting with intel and hp in the past. I just want them to get this fixed for me. They can easily replace it, It should not throttle on low loads and have that many issues. I dont even mind sending it to them to get their verification. Thank you for the help man, but im just gonna let that hp guy handle it.

My pleasure.

You're kind of in a catch 22 situation if the PC's standard warranty has expired.

HP's general process requires a valid warranty and you would ship the PC to HP for covered factory warranty service.

Maybe HP will ship a replacement processor to you if you can substantiate the extended processor warranty claim. But HP usually does not ship replacement components.

This might be why @Kuroi_Kenshi  was asking for previous HP Support contact details.

I hope HP sets you straight but you might be facing an uphill battle in this instance.

@NonSequitur777, what do you think?

Yeah, but the big thing is, hp and almost every company has extended the warranty on my specific cpu since the whole vmin shift and voltage issues that would degrade the chip. Im hoping they will honor those warranty extensions and just replace the cpu. The previous ticket with them won't help i was already out of warranty then and I had thought it was motherboard so it was all motherboard oriented and done over the phone anyways. Plus I cant ship my computer to them as I need an active computer for my school and everything
