DVD-Cd player for the Omen

I guess oversite on my part but my ordered HP OMEN arrived without a DVD-CD ROM drive.  My question is:

1. Can I install one or do I have to use an external drive?

2. What is the best kind out there internal or external?

1) You can reclaim the CD, in the HP Store when you purchase the OMEN.

2) IMHO, the best way for install actualized software, driver's, etc ..., is from the site of HP write, in the Web. The CD, is possible what be obsolet.

I already have the computer at home so I would have to order anything and either install it myself or get someone like the Geek Squad to do it.  I'm not sure what you mean by "reclaim the CD"

Why is there no CD DVD rom in my omen??? Is this a joke?
