Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I just purchased this gaming desktop - HP Pavilion Gaming i7-11700/16GB/1TB SSD/RTX3060 12GB Desktop . It has the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card. While I was trying to setup dual monitors I discovered the displayport won't recognise any monitors, only the hdmi will. I need the displayports to run a second monitor. I have tried all the usual stuff, the drivers are up to date, restarting, cable check etc. I have read in a few forums that a lot of people are having this problem and the few solutions I have found didn't work for me. Seeing as this is a brand new machine intended for gaming ease of setup for a second monitor seems like it should be a given. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Morgan

UPDATE: I got it to work finally. I unplugged the monitor, all cables, and the computer and left it for 20 minutes. I then reconnected only the displayport and power to the monitor and pc. I turned the pc on after everything was connected. I should mentioned I did try this previously and only left everything unplugged for 5 minutes and it didn't work. 20 minutes did the trick go figure. I hope this helps someone else and fingers crossed it continues to work.
