Hi Jwilson
The Asus ROG Strix 1070 is dual slot and is 11.73 inches in length and requires a minimum 500 watt power supply with one 8 pin PCIe supplemental power connector.
You have a 500 watt power supply. Verify it has the eight pin connector. Your chassis should be able to accommodate a dual slot graphics card.
The length could be a problem. Measure along the PCIE x16 slot to see if an almost 12 inch card will fit. EVGA makes comparable GTX 1070 cards that are about 10.5 inches in length.
You will have to uninstall the current graphics drivers and enter the BIOS to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot before installing the new card if it fits and you have the eight pin supplemental power connector.
