HP Recommended

I recently bought the OMEN 25L Desktop, and from the first day I bought it, the Ethernet connection has been very poor, I can only use youtube on the web and nothing else will load (not a firewall issue), my download speed wile I'm wired is about 125kbs and if I'm wireless its about 12mbs. I can also not connect to steam or blizzard or any third-party client. It will open games but never connect to servers. The cord or the modem its self is also not the problem as the same cord/modem works perfect for other desktops in house. I've looked around and apparently this is a common problem on these desktops, I don't know where to go from here its seems to be a motherboard issue, but any help would be much appreciated!
