good morning,

I have problems with the fan of my graphics card gtx 1050 2gb nvidia. It stopped spinning and working suddenly. I tried to clean and check that the pins were attached but it seems to be all right. I also tried to download programs that start the fan manually but nothing happens. Finally in the BIOS, on thermal I can see all the fans working apart from an ''N/A'' fan

@Ostap02,

Are we talking about a single fan card, or one of two fans isn't working?

It is well within the realm of possibilities that only your fan is defective, especially if the graphics are still working -but no fan to cool it down.  If that is the case, a (single?) fan replacement is easy and painless.

Thus, locate the part number of your NVIDIA GTX 1050 2GB -better still: the part number displayed on your fan (see pic), and search for "fan replacement" online -Amazon or eBay, for example.

Here's an example of an instructional video clip how to change out GPU cooling fans: GPU Fan Replacement - YouTube.

Hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Hi, ty for your advice!

Before I change the fan I want to understand if it is a problem of the single fan of the graphics card!

The others fans are working properly, only the single fan of the graphic card is not working but the i can normally use the computer ''cause the graphic card works.

How can i try if is only a fan problem?

hi

if you can remove the fan
see the specs, and try plugging it directly into a small power source
I have already checked the operation of fans with this method, if the power source is correct, even a little lower the fan should work
I had done a test with an electric train type power dimmer transformer, which did not exceed the required power, it worked very well

indeed a good idea to test before, it could be the management of the fan which is HS, in which case replacing the fan may be useless
