I got this laptop about 8 months ago, its a Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx. But more recently, my laptop CPU and GPU temperature have been reaching pretty high, with the CPU getting up to 75-80° and the GPU getting 70°. This issue has continued even though I've changed the fan speed to max on OMEN gaming hub. Because of this the bottom of my laptop has been pretty warm. On the bottom there's two fans both situated on the left side of the vent, where it seems it goes through that part of the vent, but the right side (where it seems the air is supposed to blow aswell) is very hot and heating up. I was also wondering why when I run a system diagnostics check, it says my laptop fans aren't on 100% speed, only on 55-60% although I had changed it already. Is this an issue I should worry about?

@tpacis05 , welcome to the Community.
The first thing that I will recommend is do a thorough cleaning of the laptop; especially the vents. Then, if you don't have one buy a lap desk. A flat surface is necessary for the air to circulate properly. Resting on your lap can block airflow.
My wife was having heat problems with her HP laptop and I had her begin using my lap desk. It cooled down considerably. The lap desk is like my wife's.
