@ZebJ,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Thank you for reaching out! Let's try to tackle both issues one at a time:

1. Promo Code Issue:

The message "not applicable for products in the cart" usually means:

  • The promo code is limited to specific models or configurations.

  • It may exclude sale or clearance items.

  • The code may have expired or region restrictions (some could apply to a country other than the US, etc.).

Suggestions:

  • Double-check the terms and conditions of the promo code.

  • Try removing any customizations or discounted items from your cart and reapplying the code.

  • If the issue persists, contact HP Store Support directly for help:

2. Can't Change the Board to "Gaming PC":

This could be a temporary site glitch or a browser issue.

Try this:

  • Clear your browser’s cache or try using a different browser (e.g., switch from Chrome to MS Edge or Firefox).

  • Make sure you're logged in to the HP Support Community.

  • I have 'tagged' an HP moderator, and hopefully it will be followed up on.

Let me know how it goes -happy to help further!

Kind Regards,
