I was able to run the HP BIOS Update and Recovery tool on the Hirens environment. I was able to get the 08433.bin file.

Thanks

Hi @jmcglock

Yes, use 7Zip to extract 08433f55.exe. into a new folder. Copy the file in this new folder to the Hiren's boot media in the root folder containing AUFWINGUIx64.exe.

When running AUFWINGUIx64.exe select "Open". In file name change from .bin or .cap to "All Files". You should see 08433f55.exe on the file list. AUFWINGUIx64.exe will read this file and give you the flash option.

Hi everyone

Check your HP PC's Support site for a BIOS update. HP has issued a new BIOS version for some 690 series PCs and may have issued BIOS version F.58 for your MB.

I just checked and see the new BIOS update for my 8433 mb.

Has anyone tested this BIOS yet? If not, I can volunteer.

The changelog seems to indicate that the previous issue was fixed:
"- Fixes issue where time zone setting could cause system to freeze."

Hi @jmcglock

Sounds good.

Run the system for a while to check stability.

Hello all,

Just spent two days working on fixing this issue and came upon this forum. I was able to download the bios F.58 update for my PC, 690-0020. I put it on a USB drive and inserted it into the PC. Pressed Windows Key + B while booting up, this forced the bios to update to F.58, was successful in booting into windows 11 after that. Everything has been good so far with this update. Hope this helps!

Hi @198621

I don't know what is going on. The BIOS update should work if you have the correct BIOS for your specific MB SSID.

This could mean the PC is unstable.

Reset the BIOS to defaults. Reply if you need assistance on resetting the BIOS to defaults.

Then download the BIOS update again. Try the BIOS update using the latest BIOS download.

You may have to contact a local PC Tech to take a look if you can't update the BIOS.

Regards
