Hey guys, so my computer has been working fine for a very long time but it seems that everytime I load up Fortnite my computer wants to freeze up. In game it freezes every 10 seconds and then once I exit the game my computer does the same unitl I restart it. I've updated all my drivers and reset the entire pc as well. Whenever I exit the game all of the usb and sound freezes and a buzzing noise plays whenever it freezes. No other games cause it to do this. Any help?

Greetings @dylan50x

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Sorry to see you're having a Fortnite problem.

Is your PC using the latest: Nvidia or AMD graphics drivers?

It would not hurt to check your PC's hardware. I would tend to think you have a Fortnite problem if all other games are good to go.

Check Hardware:

Check your PC's hardware using HP Diagnostics as follows:

Start the PC. Repeatedly tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run extensive system and component tests to confirm: a drive problem, a memory problem, or other component problem.

Then Check System Files:

Open an Admin command prompt as follows:

Open Search then enter "command prompt". Right-click on the search result.

Select "Run as Administrator".

Enter the following commands, one at a time. Wait for each command to complete before running the next command.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth note: the PC must be connected to the network when using the DISM command.

Enter the next command to verify system files are now okay.

sfc /scannow

Restart the PC Try Fortnite again to see how it goes.

Remove /Reinstall Fortnite:

Uninstall Fortnite. Restart the PC.

Reinstall Fortnite.

Maybe try the Fortnite Forum for a better solution if such a Forum exists.

Regards
