@Fusion_editor,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Say your "690-00xx" is an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0038 (5QA39AA), what you have to work with is a meager 310 watt power supply.  That limits your graphics card options severely. In this scenario, a GTX 1650 is going to be your best option unless you go for a PSU upgrade.

As best as I can ascertain, the 400 watt p/n: L04618-800 is compatible.  Also, the 500 watt p/n: L05757-800 is claimed to be compatible, but only lines up with a single screw to secure this PSU to the PC case.

Kind Regards,

@Fusion_editor,

If you are referring to a 310-watt power supply compatible graphics card, I would purchase a GTX 1650 from an eCommerce company that would allow you to return it in case the card doesn't work or doesn't meet your expectations.

Here is one suggestion: Amazon.com: MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1650 128-Bit HDMI/DP/DVI 4GB GDRR5 HDCP Support DirectX 12 VR Rea..., where a new card cost $249, and right now I see one pre-owned unit for sale at $199.66.

Hope this was helpful.
