So I recently purchased a Corsair hydro series h60 aio liquid cooler and had micro center install it but they said Thank you foThe motherboard has, what appears to be, a permanently mounted, proprietary, CPU cooler bracket. This is incompatible with any of the after-market CPU coolers. Can anyway else verify this and if so can someone advise what to do?

Hi@Jcb1981,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are trying to install a liquid cooler on the OMEN 30L Desktop PC.
I have a few recommendations
- The cooler that comes with this processor uses the standard clip retention system that comes preinstalled on every AMD motherboard, but it does not come with a backplate or mounting bracket. That will come with your motherboard.
- Motherboards come with CPU brackets.
- It is very common considering that motherboards do not come with back plates. The reason for this is because the cooler comes with the back plate.
- You should be able to install the cooler without removing motherboard. Cutout in the case allows accessing motherboard CPU area from both sides
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
