Don’t listen to the HP guy. While 85-89° is not dangerous, it is not good for “high end” machines. It is however what you can expect from HP products. Sadly all of their computers run hot and loud, I have a desktop from them with a 2080ti and get 85-90° while playing games. Just have to deal with not getting the performance expected or payed for. My suggestion would be to possibly change cases and upgrade parts, or to deal with it and build a new system or buy from a better system integrator later.
TL;DR Temps are nothing to be worried about, although they are not what one should expect from a “high end” gaming PC as the HP associate said.
