@maglite, welcome to the forum.
Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the computer. In Chapter 4, Page 28, it talks about Expansion Cards. There is a link to another page that shows the compatible cards. Also, here is the Product Specifications for the computer. Read the section titled "Graphics" carefully. There is some good information about the fact that some of the cards have to be configured at purchase. The biggest problem that you will have is the power supply unit (PSU). It is only 180W. Newer graphics cards require a minimum of 300W.
I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system. This will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

I will also add...
You should also ask in the HP Business Desktop section of the forum. Someone there might know more about your Business Class Desktop.
Include the full Product number, not just the model.
If you're looking to turn this into a gaming machine, it might not work out so well
Since I dont know much about the propretary setup of that system, I dont qualify to answer.
I know that the PSU is not a standard hook up.
HP does make a 500w PSU (p/n: 913290-001) for the 800 G3 Tower, but I dont know if its too long to fit the SFF case. So you will need to ask in Business section.
MSI makes a Low Profile 1050ti that can use the low profile (short) slot brackets, which is what you would need. But it takes two slots. You would have to measure the space inside to see if it is possible.
Again, ask the guys in Business section.
I assume your system is uefi not legacy since they came out around 2017?
Good luck. Let us know if it works out.
