HDMI problem

Hi I need help with my laptop so basically the screen is broken so I can really use the screen, so I have been using hdmi for the time been to use the laptop but suddenly I woke up and the hdmi won’t work I have tried the hdmi on a different laptop but mine won’t bother to work and even when I try to sleep it by closing the laptop I can just keep hearing the fan of the laptop spinning. I don’t know what to do
