Hello,

 

I have a 30L that is no longer a 30L but I am still using the 3080 GPU that was in my Omen. Wondering if it is possible to update the cards bios so that I might be able to try this resizable bar thing.  

 

Current bios version is - 94.02.26.08.17

OK,
it seems that your model is not from the same series
In the link we have the 1000 series model

except you tell me that your original computer is from the series

except it may not be the same graphics card models
I can't tell you to try, you never know, but if it doesn't match it should do as with user the first time, install can not be done.
But in doubt, I do not know what to advise you better

Yes I’ve seen the thread(s) and they are a bit confusing honestly.

 

if I put my model number in the support page I do find an “update” for the 3080 under the firmware tab but it appears to be the same version I already have…???

Well I guess I won't worry about it for now and check back every once in awhile to see if an update is offered later. Not really a big deal anyway as from what I understand there is only a small hand full of games that support it right now anyway.
