Omen 30L with the i9 10850K, 3090 video card, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD
Is there a good pre built after market air cooler for the HP 3090 that also addresses the vram temps?
I've seen a few for earlier Nvidia 1000 and 2000 series cards (although not sure if they aided in vram cooling too).
Like this, ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV
I pulled my 3090 out of the original Omen case, put into larger case with good fans, but do see high temps on it's memory.
I've not done any mods to the vid card yet.
I've seen many posts about the thermal pads, using thermal grease on the outer metal plate that HP didn't put anything on.
Then I saw the many choices for the aftermarket coolers like the ARCTIC Accelero Xtreme IV, for the earlier Nvidia 1000, 2000 series cards, was hoping for something similar for the HP 3090 card.

3090 has half of the memory modules on the backside of the PCB, which means the only thing cooling them is the metal backplate. Try sticking some extra heatsinks on the backplate with thermal pad/tape.
The thermal grease mod will also help a bit, and you could try replacing the original thermal pads with something "beefier" like Thermalright Odyssey pads which are 4x more thermal conductive than the pads used on EK waterblocks.
There are no aftermarket air coolers for RTX 3000-cards. BUT! You can get EK waterblock for the 3090, HP Omen 3080/3090 is even officially supported by EK. The 3090 is using reference PCB layout so reference-design waterblocks can be used on it.
EK (and all the other manufacturers) uses lousy thermal pads on their waterblocks, Thermalright Odyssey pads improved memory temperatures on my water-cooled 3080 by a whooping 20 degrees celsius.
