HP All-in-One PC 24-df1000i (1W762AV)

I have an HP All-in-One PC 24-df1000i (1W762AV) which I recently purchased, installed windows 11 on it <licensed version>, however, for some weird reasons, Microsoft Windows Update downloaded and forced an HP Bios Update which resulted in corrupting the original working HP Bios. The computer is dead, despite that it can boot and make noisy beeps alerting the Bios corruption error and requesting Bios Recovery.

I went on HP.COM on the support page, used the HP AIO serial number and got the software drivers page, downloaded the latest HP Bios under HP Bios System Firmware

F.31 Rev.A18.0 MBSep 13, 2021

and it failed to create an HP Bios Update bootable flash.

I proceeded to the BIOS Tab and downloaded the latest

HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS Update (ROM Family SSID 86F0)

F.36 Rev.A10.3 MBApr 13, 2022

This managed to create an HP Bios Bootable USB Update, followed the recovery steps and the computer just loops into the same issue of updating Bios.

Have tried to search and dig around internet for solutions but I have failed to get an answer.

Anybody who knows the solution to this problem or who has landed into the same problem, kindly assist. I am currently using the same computer to connect to Microsoft Dynamics Navision Classic database and am stuck with piles of files pending updating into the database server.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi @eLHAMiiD

Welcome to the HP Forum.

There are two different MB SSID BIOS updates for the same product number.

BIOS update for MB SSID 86F0

BIOS update for MB SSID 87F3

This BIOS update collision should not happen.

I don't know what is happening in your situation.

You used the AIO serial number to find the BIOS update so 86F0 should be correct.

Hi @eLHAMiiD

Did some investigating and found your PC's MB SSID may be 87F3.

Try creating the USB BIOS recovery drive with the 87F3 BIOS update in my previous response to see what happens.

Tested the 87F3 BIOS download. It offer the option to create a USB BIOS recovery drive when executed on a different PC.

The 87F3 USB recovery drive should fix the BIOS corruption.
