HP OMEN 25L CPU Cooler Replacement

hello. I bought and use HP OMEN 25L GT14-1000i (6J771AV) gaming desktop PC two months ago.

The basic specifications are i7-13700F, 64GB RAM, RTX4070Ti, and a tower-type air cooler is installed.

CPU coolers are low-end products.

3D motion and rendering work makes the CPU cooler very loud, and when running 4K rendering,

the CPU can't stand the heat and the PC powers down forcibly.

So I want to replace my CPU cooler with a high performance one (be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 or NOCTUA NH-D15 Chromax.black) compatible with LGA1700 socket.

What is the maximum compatible CPU air cooler height for the HP OMEN 25L desktop?

Is it compatible up to 165mm in height?

I contacted HP in Korea, but did not get the answer I was looking for.

The Youtuber has many other 25L upgrade videos.

I don't think the 25L case can handle a 165 mm or greater CPU air cooler. Measure case depth and open area around the CPU.

Remove the 120 mm radiator bracket located at the top of the case to improve case airflow. You can remove the bracket covers or don't use the bracket if you install a CPU air cooler.

Do you know of a brand of CPU cooler and a user guide on how to replace the cpu cooler to an OMEN HP 45L Gaming Desktop? Mine to is incredible noisy under heavy load and is driving me mad! I don’t understand why HP equip these pretty expensive gaming computers with cheap (?) noisy coolers ..

You should start a new thread.

The 45L can probably do up to a 360 radiator option in the Cryo Chamber. 

NZXT, Corsair, Cooler Master, and others make CPU liquid cooling solutions. All manufacturers provide installation instructions.

Generally, CPU liquid coolers may require:

open USB 2.0 MB header

SATA power connection

open 5V (three pin) ARGB header

I have an NZXT cooler. NZXT CAM software provides pump LCD screen function and ARGB lighting control and fan speed options via the USB 2.0 header.
