OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-1000i (6C1R8AV)

Hello,
I have a boot problem, my pc has been already serviced 2 times for this problem. Sometimes PC doesnt POST. When I switch it off few times it finally boots and then its stable.
When I turn on PC (press the power button) there is 2 seconds delay, then all the fans starts blowing (not on full speed) all lights lights up, in case everything looks normal, but mouse, keyboard and monitor are not powered at all . Not even "No signal" is there. After waiting about 20 sec, I turn it off, turn it on again, and usually it boots. Sometime I have to repeat it several times.
In service they switched motherboard and second time it was motherboard and powersupply , after few days the problem returned.

EDIT: bios, and all other drivers are current

Greetings @Wolfka

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Is your PC still in warranty?

Are you overclocking: memory or the CPU? i would shut this down to check stability.

Failure to POST "sometimes" is a tough one to diagnose. Especially if long intervals occur between the unwanted behavior.

At startup the MB firmware enumerates and initializes all hardware connected to the MB. Your system is having an intermittent problem getting this done.

Only connect required peripherals for a while. You could also try the keyboard and mouse in all available USB ports.

I would run the PC in a minimum config. to check for stability.

A minimum config would be only the following components:

1. CPU

2. One stick of available RAM, one at a time, in each memory slot. Try a different stick of, known good, memory.

3. Try onboard graphics if the CPU and MB rear I/O supports this or try a different graphics card.

4. Use the factory PSU. Then try a different PSU.

The PC would have a MB or a CPU problem if the PC continues to be unstable.

Hello,

yes, my PC is still in warranty for more than a year.
I never overclocked anything.
I tried all different USB ports with same result, I also bought another keyboard and mouse. Problem is stillremains.
When my PC was serviced ( I asked for on-site service), just after replacement of motherboard and PSU problem showed up, so technician run PC on minimal config-no problem, PC POSTed. While adding components PC posted again. This was status for 2 weeks, after that my PC again, failed to POST.
It cant be MB-i have third now, if its CPU, I run Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool 64bit and passed all tests

The only other thing I can think of, if all other components are okay, would be the case power button.

I've seen some weird stuff happen when a flaky power button is the culprit.

Have they checked the RAM or GPU? You could try resetting the CMOS or booting with minimal hardware to isolate the issue.
