Hi, what is the optimal thermal pad thickness for a laptop with a Ryzen 5800H processor and RTX 3060 graphics?

@Morphe,

In my experience -and I welcome other User's opinions on this topic, is that I found that in general, the thicker your thermal pad, the less effective your thermal pad's heat conductivity becomes.  To make a long story short, go for 0.5 mm pads, max.

Personally, I would go with 40 x 40 mm IC graphite thermal pads (the slight overhang on Ryzen processors is not an issue): Amazon.com: Innovation Cooling Graphite Thermal Pad – Alternative to Thermal Paste/Grease (40 X 40mm....

Applies also for your RTX 3060 GPU (select right size pad).

Kind Regards,

I want to know the stock thermal pad thickness of components such as Vram, the reason why I specified the processor and video card is so that you can distinguish the model.
