GT12-0037ng
Microsoft Windows 11

I tried yesterday to update my HP OMEN 25L GT12-0037ng to bios version F.27 and the bios got corrupted.

After trying to boot it, it beeps 8 times and then restarts starts recovery and then gets stack at 30% and loops a few times doing the same thing.

I tried to flash the bios downloaded from support but still the same issue, all components light up.

Is there any solution?

Did you try the windows key + "B" ?

HP support video for bios recovery

Click here to see how to recover your BIOS.
Do 1, 2, and the first part of 3.
For the second part of 3 you will need a USB flash drive and possibly an
older BIOS if the recent BIOS caused the problem

For laptops, step 2 "CMOS reset" there is no cmos battery nor cmos switch and no need to open the laptop. Use the Windows key + 'v' as explained here.

I have tried both windows key + B and Windows key + V many times, but it still gives the message after of corrupted bios after 8 beeps and then does the same loop at 30%.

It seems the cmos battery is behind the gpu, thus I thought to try all my options before opening the pc up and reset it.

i have tried loading a previous version through a usb and it sometimes get up to 32% but it also does the same as auto recovery and loops.

my understanding from your comment is that i need to do CMOS reset before reattempting to do bios recovery, correct?

CMOS reset is done only after a successful BIOS update.

There is something wrong if the BIOS update actually starts and then stops after 30% probably a memory problem but I am guessing.  You  might try another flash drive.  The WIn + B works with usb flash or from the hard drive if the backup bios is on the hard drive.

It does not look good, sorry.

If all else fails you can buy a bios chip and have a shop install it or you can flash the bios using a Ch341a

I understand that, not sure if it means something, but a few times after flashing the bios through USB it got up to 32% then stopped, also when I tried auto recovery with no usb the screen appeared to start from 28%, when I use the USB it starts from 0%. Not sure if any of this has any helpful information. Either way I will try a few more times and see if it will work.
