Hey! I'm a proud owner of an HP Omen 25L, equipped with Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060. I don't have much more information as I'm not at home at the moment, but I can get more by tomorrow. I bought it refurbished off of EBAY, and it has worked beautifully since.
Every once in a while, when I boot up after an overnight power-down, I'm greeted with an error claiming I have some kind of fan issue and it could potentially damage my PC if I continue to boot up. I've also been experiencing some chequered artifacts on my screen. Here is an image that describes it pretty well (pulled it off the internet as I don't have a picture myself).
My computer has also had some major boosts of power to the fans while running Kerbal Space program, modded, on Very High mode. My computer is running on "Performance" mode, and running at around 110F, so I can't tell if it is running hot or normal. My case feels physically hot when I place my palm on the glass sheet.
My GPU drivers are up to date. My case has a bit of dust in it as I haven't cleaned it for a bit, but nothing too serious.
Is there a fix to this? I'd like to know whether this is a fan issue, a GPU issue, or something fixable by some bug fixes or software updates.
I can get some more info when I get home.
Thanks,
