Hello,
I have installed two 84mm Noctua fans on the bottom of the PC case, next to the PSU. I have Y-split the fans to the FT_FAN4 header on the motherboard. They usually work in unison with the other fans.
Many times however, when the computer boots up from sleep or restarts, the fans spin extremely slowly. After 15 seconds or so. They both proceed to stop, and then reset right after. This keeps repeating until I physically open the side panel, put my fingers on the blades to stop them for 3 or 4 seconds. Afterwards they both start up and spin as intended at full speed.
HP, what is the issue here? I know this is not an issue with the fans, as I have tried different fans and this issue still persists. I can’t access the bios since it’s locked and I’m literally unable to do anything to it. Are there any practical solutions I can do?

Hi,
I don't see any solution since HP does not provide customized fan speed options in the BIOS. What happens, as time progresses, if you don't interact with the fans?
I would think the fan speed is determined by a temperature sensor on the motherboard.
You have no BIOS options to manually adjust the fan speeds. There is no way to change this behavior.
