OMEN 25L Desktop GT11-1000a/GT12-1000a (1Z1B3AV)

When using the desktop, it works fine. But here are the problems with it:

1. When I press the off botton, to close down the computer, it start up again after a few seconds.. and the fan goes up and down in speed.

2. When I leave the computer, lets say 15 min, the screen is black, and the computer goes from silent normal fan, to it goes up in speed. Up 20 seconds and down 20 seconds.. back and forward.

3. If I leave the computer more than 45 minutes (about), it freeze, or what happens is that screen, keyboard and mouse are not connected anymore to the computer. Same thing here, the fans goes upp in speed and down every 20 seconds..  the only way to use the computer in this situation is to take upp the eletricity cable so the computer is off for real.

Anyone know what this is about? I have done some diagnosis, and I cant find any error yet.. and I did update windows and drivers also.

Greetings @Christoffer_O

Welcome to the HP Forum.

What troubleshooting steps have to done?

You indicated you have updated drivers. Did you update to the latest BIOS available Here?

Doing the BIOS update is your decision. Be patient when doing a BIOS update, don't interrupt this update and loss of power during a BIOS update can corrupt the BIOS.

No fix after a BIOS update generally suggests: (1) a hardware driver problem, (2) a hardware problem, or (3) Windows system file corruption. This is assuming you did not mess around with advanced power settings in Control Panel or power options in Device Manager.

(1) A hardware driver problem should not exist (however, anything is possible) if all drivers are up to date.

(2) A hardware problem means any component connected to the MB or any peripheral connected to the PC.

(3) Check System Files:

Open an Admin command prompt as follows:

Open Search then enter "command prompt". Right-click on the search result.

Select "Run as Administrator".

Enter the following commands, one at a time. Wait for each command to complete before running the next command.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth note: the PC must be connected to the network when using the DISM command.

Enter the next command to verify system files are okay.

sfc /scannow

I can only suggest backing up data at this point. Now do a HP Cloud Recovery.

Same problem with a current BIOS and a clean system points to hardware. Hands on component testing, which cannot be done in a Forum, is required to find the offending part.
