Hi
I'm looking to upgrade my existing SSD.
Specs are:
- HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-00xx
- Product number: 4DU53EA#ABU
- Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version: 19043.1110
- M.2 socket 3, 2280
When I opened my PC, it had liteon it l8t-128l9g-hp which is essentially SATA 3.1. While looking at the specs given on HP website and scanning PC using Crucial website scan it says it's NVME. This made me confused, hence I'm here asking if someone please advise me what ssd is compatible with my system? Please advice.
Many thanks

Your machine is an HP Pavilion 690-0022na, its specs :
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06068914
It has
- 16 GB PCIe NVMe 3D Xpoint M.2 Solid State (Optane)
- 2 TB
You can disable and replace 16GB Optane with larger (capacity) M.2 NVMe SSD drive.
Regards.

Thank you @Banhien
As I purchased my pc used, I think previous owner upgraded it to Lite-On L8T-128L9G-HP which is 128gb M.2 2280 SATA III NGFF. That's where I had confusion. Can I also ask is there any limit on the capacity of ssd for my system?

The limit is huge but due to physical limit space of a 2280 singled sided format, vendors now sell 2TB (some vendors have 4TB but how reliable they are I don't know).
Regards.
