HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0051nw with 8 GB RAM. however, the system only uses about 5.9 GB of RAM, which means some is unused. I checked the system settings and task manager, but no obvious causes of this problem were found. Is there an optimization or software way to fully access RAM? I would appreciate any notifications or notifications regarding solutions to this problem

Hi @7567jfrd
Welcome to the HP Forum.
Your PC has an AMD: MB and CPU per HP specs at this Site.
AMD MBs reserve a portion of system RAM for VRAM even if the MB has a discrete graphics card with VRAM.
Your PC's AMD MB would have to provide a UMA setting to increase or decrease system memory reserved for video.
It appears custom MB manufacturers do provide a UMA BIOS setting to increase or decrease shared system memory usage. I have UMA settings on my ASUS and MSI AMD MBs.
OEM MBs (HP, Dell, and Lenovo or others) may not provide this option; it is up to the OEM.
I don't believe HP provides this option in your MB's BIOS/EFI.
You would have to look at all of your PC's available BIOS settings for this option.
If your PC's BIOS has this setting it might be in the Advanced tab. Examine every setting in your PC's BIOS to see if HP enabled UMA.

Hi @7567jfrd
Sorry to see this.
I don't believe you can do anything else to release the reserved system memory.
You could look into adding more memory to the MB.
Check Crucial Memory for memory upgrade options. Use the Crucial Scanner to get the best memory upgrade suggestions.
Your PC now has 8 GBs of memory. I can't find MB specs for your PC to see the maximum amount of memory supported on this MB.
