I recently reinstalled Windows 11 on my HP Pavilion 15-eh0xxx laptop (Ryzen 5 4500U with Radeon Graphics). Before the reinstall, I was able to open AMD Adrenalin Software and/or HP Command Center to adjust performance settings for gaming. Since reinstalling Windows, the Adrenalin UI does not open — only the installer appears — and HP Command Center or OMEN Gaming Hub do not appear anywhere in Windows search or in the software listings.

I have already downloaded and installed the AMD graphics driver and chipset driver from HP’s official support page, ensured Windows Power & Graphics settings are optimized, and kept the laptop plugged in. Despite this, I cannot access any software to adjust GPU or CPU performance, which prevents me from enabling performance modes or optimizing for gaming.

Has anyone else experienced this issue after reinstalling Windows on a Pavilion 15-eh0xxx? Is there a way to restore the full AMD Adrenalin software or HP Command Center, or an alternative utility for performance tuning on this model? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Catus104,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m sorry about how frustrating this must be after reinstalling Windows. It's tough when key performance tools like AMD Adrenalin and HP Command Center disappear, especially when they were working fine before. Let's get you back on track step by step.

Step 1: Install HP Command Center from the Microsoft Store

Your Pavilion model supports HP Command Center. To download it:

Step 2: Fixing AMD Adrenalin Software Launch Issues

It’s common for Adrenalin to show only the installer but not open the UI. These steps, sourced from driver experts, should help:

A. Clean Uninstall + Reinstall

  1. Uninstall AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition from Settings → Apps.
  2. Run AMD Cleanup Utility in Safe Mode to remove remnants.
  3. Reinstall using the latest full Adrenalin package from AMD's official site (not just driver-only).

B. Post-Install Steps

  • Right-click the installer and select “Run as administrator.”
  • Navigate to Services (services.msc) and ensure AMD External Events Utility is set to Automatic and running.
  • Also, delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\AMD\CN folder to clear corrupted profiles.

Step 3: Additional Troubleshooting Tips

If Adrenalin still won't open:

  • Check Task Manager: End any RadeonSoftware.exe processes, then relaunch the app.
  • Windows Updates: Install all pending updates; these often resolve conflicts.
  • Outdated Visual C++ / .NET: Repair through Apps & features → Advanced options, or reinstall runtimes to fix dependency issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
