Hello,
I have a Hp Pavilion TG01-2814 prebuilt PC with  i5-11/16/3060 and 512gb storage.
I need to add another harddrive, any suggestions?

Also i think that the sounds from the fans are quite high. I think its from the power supply? Or am i wrong?
Is it possible to change that one? Seems abit special.

Best regards
Robert

Hi @BigR92,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you have an HP Pavilion TG01-2814 desktop and want to add storage and understand the fan noise. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be done.

Check internal drive bays and interfaces
Look inside or check the user manual for available SATA ports and M.2 slots.
The TG01 series typically supports adding a 2.5″ or 3.5″ SATA hard drive or an additional M.2 SSD.

Choose the right storage type
For easy expansion, a SATA HDD (e.g., 1TB or 2TB) is the simplest addition.
If you want speed, a second M.2 NVMe SSD is faster but requires an open M.2 slot.

Install the new drive
Shut down the PC and disconnect power before opening the case.
Mount the drive in the appropriate bay, connect the SATA data and power cables, and then secure it.

Initialize the new drive in Windows
After powering on, open Disk Management.
Locate the new drive, initialize it, and format it so it’s ready for use Check fan noise source
Not all noise comes from the PSU; the case fans or GPU fans can also be loud under load.
Listen with the side panel off to identify which fan is making the most noise.

Clean dust and improve airflow
Dust buildup makes fans work harder and louder.
Use compressed air to clear dust from intake/exhaust fans, CPU cooler, and PSU vents (only from the outside for the PSU).

Adjust fan settings in BIOS or software
Some Pavilion PCs allow fan control in BIOS or via HP Command Center.
Lowering aggressive fan curves can reduce noise if temperatures remain safe.

I hope this helps.
