Pavilion TP01-1050 6YQ50AAR

I have a HP Pavilion Mini Tower Computer i5-9400 12GB 1TB HDD 256GB SSD W10H Refurbished.

I want to put in my MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (GTX 970 GAMING 4G). I am looking for the correct power supply with the 4 pin proprietary board pin configuration that will run the set up. Current PS is 180 Gold + GPU Board consumption at max is 250 = 430 plus. If a 500 can fit I could use that. Any suggestions?

@Aviato , welcome to the Community.

You can only buy an upgrade power supply unit (PSU) from HP.  As you noted, the motherboard has a proprietary 4-pin power connector.  The only PSU  that I can say, with any certainty, will work with your motherboard is 400W (L69242-800).  It only has a 1x6+2-pin PCIe power connector.  Here is a Chart that will show you where I got the information: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...

If you look at the TP01 series you will see there are no Baker motherboards listed.  The only Baker motherboard in the Chart is in the TE01 series.  It shows only the 400W PSU that I mentioned.

I suggest that you contact HP Customer Support to see if they can tell you if the 500W (L05757-800) will be compatible with your motherboard.  If so, you can order it from them at that time.
