Hi, Lino:

Those hardware ID's are not for the HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection device.

I have zipped up and attached below, the drivers you need for both devices.

You will need to manually install each device as follows....I will give you the instructions to install the 0003 device, then do the same for the 0003 device...

Download and unzip the attached HPIC000C file to its folder.  The driver for the HPIC0003 device is also included in this file.

Do not do anything with the files in the folder.

Go to the device manager, click on the unknown HPIC0003 device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Then do the same thing for the 0004, and after you finish installing that driver, I recommend that you restart the PC.

Hi:

For some reason the forum will not let me add more than one attachment to a discussion.

Start a new post for the HPIC0004 device, and I will attach the file for that one.
