HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-1020

Boot diagnostics shows no hard drive installed. Model has 256GB PCle NVMe SSD.

Warranty expired 4/1. Appreciate advice on route to take through HP support or otherwise to resolve

- Shutdown computer !

- Disconnect power cable !

- Carefully remove the <256GB PCle NVMe SSD> and check the copper contacts. Clean it with isopropanol alcohol (or nail polish remover). Check if there is dust/dirt in the slot and remove it very carefully with a toothpick. Put the <256GB PCle NVMe SSD> back in.

- Connect power cable !

- Start and test again ...

Thank you for the suggestion but it did not resolve my problem. System diagnostics check still results in “no hard drive installed”

There seems to be a technical defect.

Then I recommend you to install another <NVMe SSD> disk.

If the new<NVMe SSD> disk is not recognized either, the slot or the mainboard is defective

- if the new <NVMe SSD> ( use same size as old one ! ) disk is recognized, you are lucky 😊

Good luck
