Hello @DJNocturnal

To better understand whats happened I need to know a little more detail.

Omen Control is an old program that came specifically with your 870 series.

Omen Command Center is an App from the Microsoft Store.

That error sounds like you installed the "Command Center" from the Microsoft Store since the "Control Center" is not available from there.

If this is the case, the Command Center will not work on your desktop.  You would do best to uninstall it.

The 870 is an older series that came out before the Omen Command Center was created, therefor it wont work together.

So what software  exactly do I need to  donload for my Omen to be able to control its LED and monitor such ?????? Please and thanks in advance

Tell me exactly what you are trying to achieve.

Did you wipe the drive or something?

Control Center came preinstalled already unless you reinstalled Windows or something.

If so, the only install file for that is this link (and you need the HP System Event utility also)...

HP System Event Utility

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp91501-92000/sp91504.exe

Omen Control software

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70894.exe

How to use  the HP Omen X control software

Yes I did  have to  reinstall windows and I  dowlonded those Links and its giving me a notif Stating  the SynComm.DLL is mising or  sommething  there fore this cannot be executed .... sooooo  now what ?

Also it says Try  reinstalling but  this is  the second time I actually attempted this

That might be a problem. I have not found a solution to the SynComm issue if it pops up, and it rarely gives an issue unless you install Windows from the Microsoft ISO.

About all you can do is...

Other than that, Im at a loss. Im sorry.

If its a real problem that you need the control center to work and you dont have the HP recovery media to reinstall with, you can actually download the factory Windows install media from the HP Cloud Recovery.

Thats about the best I can offer.
