Hey there! I recently acquired an HP Omen 30L containing a AMD Ryzen 5 5600x and a RTX 3070 and the CPU temperatures are throwing me for a loop. I went to check on my temps today for the first time in a while and noticed they were sitting regular for the GPU, at about 25-30C and for the CPU about 70C, which seems higher than normal. Am I crazy or is there anything I should do to lower the temperatures? All of these temperatures listed were at idle and were checked on multiple different programs. Thanks!

Seems high.
I have an HP Omen 25L (the GT12-1561nd version), which has a Ryzen 7 5700g running around 59-60C with an active voice-call, videoplayback and webbrowsing at the same time. If I boot up and just leave it idle for a bit it usually stays around 35-45C until I start using it.
I ended up getting a (unnecessary but nice to have) new CPU-aircooler to replace the stock Ryzen one (which is fine).
The ones I've seen recommended for my case (which is smaller) is the Noctua D9L or the U9S, you might be able to fit a bigger one. What cooler does the CPU currently have? Also Note that 70 degrees is FINE for a CPU, they can handle anywhere up to 100C (although higher temps = faster wear/tear).
Some aggressive unpacking software managed to get mine up to 94C which is why I ended up getting the D9L.

I am currently using the base cooler and I figure the reason my CPU is having issues now is because of the temperature change in my area. The other people in my house tend to keep it a bit warmer even in the summer so I believe that has something to do with it as my room is hotter. I will definitely take a look at the cooler you sent as I think it would be smart and not costly. The case also does have a bracket for another CPU cooler as I noticed on the top of the case so I might have to add something there.

If your ambient temperature rises, so will your temperature in the case.
Personally I put a Top-intake fan in the top 'bracket' (and pushed out the metal bits in between).
I haven't yet installed my D9L but I'll be sure to update you on my idle temps & avg. temp drop in my usual game when I do.
I wasn't/am not sure if there are AIO systems that will fit that outperform the D9L, and I didn't want to risk any damage to other components (leaks).
