Hello! I hope yall are having a nice day.
I have a question about my BIOS, so recently it got an update and as per the HP website the newest update for it was in June and now its October so I'm thinking it was a fake update.
I want to know how I can install the software to create a recovery flash drive for its bios and how to disable other flashes so the bios stays secure.
I checked the page for the drivers:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-pc-tg01-1000i/32480786/m...
I do not know which BIOS software I should download to reflash my bios.
My plan to rid the virus is to reinstall BIOS software in case of a bios virus and then use its erase feature to erase the SSD so any viruses lurking there will be removed.
Thank you!
(EDIT: The OS on the desktop is Windows Home 21H1 | OS Build 19043.928 | I also just reinstalled windows and got version KB5001330)

I always have a backup/clone disk for each machine and run backup when ever I do a big change or after 3 months. I keep my files/data on NAS. My NAS will sync to another NAS at my son's house which is 1 hour drive away.
In your case, my suggestion is to have a clone HDD as a backup, that will save you a lot of time and headache. For BIOS you can always get BIOS on HP support sites
Hope this helps
Regards.
