I bought new the HP X27qc, pluged my sound system in and it is very quiet. Then I remembered, that on my "old" display, I had to set up the volume first higher, cause it was just set to 50%. I want to do the same on the X27qc, but I don´t find the menu/button for that 😞 In the manual is not described, how it is possible to set the volume up, too.
And yes, on Windows is the volume set to 100%.
Does anyone know, how to set the volume to 100% on the display?

@DjBepy , welcome to the Community.
I read through the User Guide and Product Specifications and there is no mention of speakers. This normally means that there are no internal speakers.

I don´t talk about speakers. I use the sound output of the display and plugged in my sound system. And the sound is now very quiet, so I have to set the volume on the sound system very high to have the normal volume.
And I remember on my old display before, I had the same issue and I solved it by setting the volume on the display itself up to 100%. That´s why I´m asking, how can I set up the volume on this display itself?

Sorry for the mis-understaning, @DjBepy! If you click on the sound icon in the lower left corner of the Taskbar you can increase the volume. This could solve your problem.

@DjBepy, Boy!! I am batting zero on this subject!! If all of your drivers are up to date I don't have any other incorrect ideas! 😉 Sorry.

Hello @DjBepy @old_geekster
I seem to have seen a similar problem here before, but from memory, no answer afterwards
From what I've seen, you are therefore using the headphone output..
I had it seems to me asked to check, just two things, because indeed the doc, does not show either of the two options:
There are sometimes buttons, to increase or decrease the volume, directly
sometimes you have to enter the OSD menu
What I was thinking, maybe it's just designed, to use options via windows, the sound is preset, and you can only adjust it with audio settings
Only explanations, that I have, if there is nothing to modify the volume with the screen
If you connect an audio system, why not use the computer connector directly, it is generally much more powerful than with a monitor
was this reply helpful , or just say thank you ? Click on the yes button

I talked yesterday with one from the support and we found out: It is not possible to change the volume on the display itself.
The reason, why I plugged my sound system directly into the monitor is, that besides my laptop is my XBox connected to it. And that makes the switch between them easier 😉
