Since I am not currently using the system for remote gaming, I would like to stop Remote Play from starting at every boot.
I am familiar with Windows Services.msc.
Is there a specific Service I can temporarily disable to stop Remote Play from automatically starting without affecting anything else?

Hello @CaptBilly1Eye
Im guessing you at some point signed into the Omen Command Center and probably turned it on.
Run the OCC again, sign in and click on Remote play. Move the slider to off under Enable Streaming on Windows Start.
Then you can log out if you wish.
Let me know if that works.

Thanks for your help, Photoray002.
When I signed into Omen Command Center and then selected Remote Play, there was no slider control available.
There was only a screen advising how to install the OCC software.
I had never installed or enabled OCC on a secondary device.
Now that I have gone through those steps, the slider is available and I was able to set it to Off.
That appears to have resolved my original issue. Thank you.
I will now uninstall the OCC installation on my secondary device (smartphone).
It is odd and unfortunate that installing it on the secondary device was required in order to shut down the automated service on my desktop.

Thanks for the heads up. I have never heard of such a thing either. I have no idea what just happened with your system that you had to do that also as its not something anyone has ever reported before.
Glad its working now.

same things been happening to me from about 2 weeks ago. First, week, the program would start way enlarged and off-screen, only way to click anything was to manually resize it, then click Omen Desktop. (i usually on the lighting to display the Temps when gaming, and switch it off to preserve the chipset when not)
This week, the Remote-Play would start by itself ONLY when/As soon as connected to the internet. i do not have this installed on any other device
Am i being hacked?
PS.1, i do not /never frequent any porn/nefarious/questionable sites
PS.2, Forums show this 'enlargement & off-screen' problem popping-up just recently, could this issue be escalated upstairs to determine any possible exploits and patched asap please. No dramas, we bought the Omen series cos we love HP for its reliability, if it is an exploit, just patch it quietly and asap to restore our peace-of-minds.
Thanks

Its glitching again, you're not hacked.
You would do better by clicking the Feedback button at the bottom of the Command Center and giving an explanation of whats happening. The team will see it directly rather than my trying to get the so called reps to pass it on.
Check the box to send the log files also. You will need an email client to send the report.
Good luck.

"Enable streaming on Windows start" slider will be visible only when you install one of the OCC clients for iOS/Android and set it up on your phone. When you are connected to PC with phone through Omen app slider will be visible, then you can stop/disable Omen Remote Play from starting up with Windows.
