Hi,

I have overheating issues with my computer while streaming/gaming. Have had the computer for 2 years. I added a noctua 120mm fan today but it was overly big and the case couldnt shut, so had to remove it-to figure out what it is that I need. Put thermal paste on. No difference. Added this product below, and computer started blinking and beeepinnnng crazily and wouldnt turn on. It is the same Ram as what is in it already. Says it can be put up to 32 gb... I dont know what I am doing, that is clear, but does anyone have any ideas how to help find WHAT COOLING FAN I would need, and if that is enough to make the heat go back down under 187-195 while gaming/streaming) and why the RAM isnt working when I install it? I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

Hello @tshroomfairy

(1) First you mark with a sticker which is the working RAM.

(2) Insert only 1 RAM then run HP Diagnostics to test for errors

(3) Repeat (2) with the new RAM

Please report your results

best regards
