OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 873-0006nt
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have an Omen desktop 873-0006nt (9CU47ea) with EdorasDF motherboard. I've been really happy with my gaming computer, but I catched a sweat deal of an RTX 3080 and wanted to get it.

I had little experience on building PC's. I had noticed only after I purchased a new PSU and GPU, that my new graphics card does not fit in my case.  Sadly so, I bought a bigger (ATX size) case and rent a service to migrate my parts.

At very last, service guy and I notice that RTX 3080 doesn't fit in HP motherboard either, because there isn't enough clearence between PCIe slot and motherboard power pins.

Now, I have my computer with a new case (with lesser quality lol), and a new power supply. But still use my old friend gtx 1660.

I am thinking that, I may handle this with getting a PCI-e riser cables and puting my GPU below my motherboard (i.e. puting on the empty spot caused by a mATX mobo in an ATX case) but it is not certain that it will fit, and I would be still worried about the lack of air circulation under my GPU.

I may buy a motherboard (btw I really passed the end of my budget).

But will my 512 mb m.2 nvme ssd, 2x8gb RAM's and processor work on any motherboard which is for intel 9th gen and with m.2 and DDR4 slots?

And will I lost my windows license, if they will work?

TL;DR :

Can I somehow plug RTX 3080 to EdorasDF by hp ?

Can I use HP desktop parts (i.e. RAMS, m.2 nvme SSD with windows, and CPU) to another motherboard? Or

I can only find

             https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06124984

which says it is a Micro ATX, channel board exchangeable. You need a Micro ATX board which has 2 slots for your RTX 3080 card as mentioned of its specs

hi

if the graphics card does not fit, currently you can try to find a smaller one..
but you can try to install it externally

I am not considering to return my GPU, nor they would accept to give a refund.

External gpu may be a solution but I will consider it on my last try.
