I cannot play video games on my pc laptop anymore because the pc always crashes shortly after start.

My OMEN PC laptop keeps crashing when playing any game, be it on Steam or a game emulator. I play with mods and some cheats for non-online games which has never been a problem before. Lately however, any game I boot up eventually starts to lag, slow down, and finally freezes and crashes my PC, forcing me to manually shut it down by holding down power button. Everything on my PC should be up to date, regular updates and Driver updates. If there is any more information I can provide for help, please let me know.

You have a Laptop. This is a Desktop Board.

You might get better assistance by copying and pasting your question into the Gaming Notebook Board.

I can suggest you may have a thermal problem if games start fine and initially work okay and then the system slows down and the PC crashes as time goes by.

Download HWiNFO portable at this Site. Run this program on top as you game in windowed mode to check CPU, GPU, and MB  temps. Maybe you can spot the problem before the PC crashes.

It could also be a hardware problem or a power supply problem.
