The memory installed in your PC, for some reason, can't do XMP on your MB.

You could reset CMOS by removing the CR2032 MB battery when the PC is disconnected from AC power.

Depress and hold down the power button a few times after disconnecting the PC from AC power to deenergize the MB.

Remove the side access panel to view the MB.

Locate the CR2032 MB battery. The battery could be hidden behind a graphics card. You may have to remove the graphics card to see the MB battery.

Remove the MB battery. Let the PC sit for about five minutes.

This YouTube Video may provide additional insight on removing the MB battery.

 Reinstall the MB battery.

Your PC should now POST when the memory is not set to XMP settings.

Removing the CR2032 MB battery and waiting for about five minutes when the PC is disconnected from AC power should reset CMOS to defaults. This action would set the memory speed and timings and all other BIOS settings to factory defaults.

What is the specific beep cadence you hear when you start the PC? Your PC might have a different POST problem.

A HP Desktop PC memory error produces a 3:2 beep cadence.

HP Desktop PC beep error codes can be reviewed at this HP Site.

The POST 3:2 beep code is a memory error.

Disconnect the PC from AC power. Remove the MB battery again.

Remove all installed memory modules. Note which MB memory slots are populated with memory modules.

Reinstall the memory modules in the same slots HP used at the factory.

Reinstall the MB battery.

Try to start the PC again.

Try each memory module, one at a time, in each memory slot if the PC will not POST.

You might have a faulty memory module.
