Hp omen 27 1440p 165hz
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a monitor that is supposed to be 165hz but I only get 144 Hz. To get one 165hz I need to overclock it but how bad is it when I overclock it and what will be the lifespan of it?

@Filip8 , welcome to the forum.

Here are the Product Specifications for the monitor:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-27-display/16129890/document/c05497684

If you look at the section titled "Scan Range" it appears that there is a switch or toggle to overclock the monitor.  Overclocking if it goes beyond the original specifications can reduce the life expectancy of the product, but in this instance, I don't believe that it will hurt the monitor.  Just make certain that you use DisplayPort to DisplayPort to connect the monitor to the computer or you won't be able to get the desired Resolution and Refresh Rate.
